How many guards does an event need?
There is no single number. Officer numbers follow crowd size, the layout, alcohol service and risk. A community day on one oval is a different roster to a festival with a pit, back-of-house and a car park. Send the program and we will write the numbers to that brief.
How far ahead should we book event security?
Book as soon as the date and venue are firm. Larger festivals and public programs need more lead time so rostering, licences and the venue or council plan can be lined up. If the date is close, call 1300 240 829 and we will say what we can still staff.
Are ANSIC event officers licensed in Queensland?
Yes. Event officers we deploy are licensed under Queensland security licensing for the work they do, including the crowd-controller function where the brief needs it. ANSIC also holds security licences in New South Wales and Victoria.
Does ANSIC cover crowd control and RSA support?
Yes. Outdoor programs and festival fences sit on this page. Licensed hotels, clubs and function-room doors sit on our crowd control service. Where alcohol is served, officers work with RSA, including refusals and the floor.
How we track and report
Festival and outdoor programs are rostered in 
Guardhouse. Officers clock in on a GPS time clock inside the site geofence. Incidents can carry time-stamped photos, and clock-ins, scans and incidents sit on the occurrence log. Daily licence checks run across Australian states, including Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. The optional customer portal can show a client the schedule, licence status and the log.
Where a program includes a licensed venue, hotel or club door, officers sign on through 
Security Registers — mobile QR sign-on and Office of Fair Trading licence checks, including the crowd-controller component.
